At your leisure, arrive in Kelowna and check into your hotel centrally located in downtown Kelowna. Options for the day include visiting local wineries, exploring the Kangaroo Creek Farm, or if you are looking for more of an adventure try out Wild Play Elements Park. Time permitting, you can also go for a drive as far as Vernon and visit places such as Kalamalka Lake and Davison Orchard.
Today we have a treat planned for you. You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for an amazing day of cycling along the Kettle Valley Railway - a 24km tour across 18 trestles and through 2 tunnels. But don't worry - the trail is relatively flat - we tried it! After your bike ride you will experience a tour of 4 wineries with lunch at one of them being included. At the end of the day, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kelowna. What a great day!
Today you will depart Kelowna and drive to Summerland. On the way we recommend a stop in Penticton where you can enjoy the beach, have lunch at one of the great craft breweries and/or go floating down the channel on a tube, one of the most popular activities to do in Penticton. In the late afternoon check into the Summerland Resort which will be your home away from home for the next 2 nights.
Today is at your leisure. Sleep in, explore orchards and wineries along the famous Naramata Bench or swim in the resort pool or lake - you can do as you please. Bikes are available for your exploration, as are boat rentals (for an additional cost).
Today you will drive to Canada's only Desert - Osoyoos. On your way you will pass through Oliver, BC, where there are many other great wineries for you to stop at such as Covert Farms Family Estate and Burrowing Owl. Another highly recommended stop today is a visit to the natural phenomenon of Spotted Lake. In the summer when some of the water evaporates, you can see all the circular mineral deposits on the bottom of the lake bed. Check into your lakeside hotel in Osoyoos this afternoon and take a dip in what is considered to be the warmest lake in Canada.
Today is at your leisure. You can spend the day exploring some of the many wineries in and around Osoyoos, have a relaxing day by the beach, go for a bike tour (not included) or visit the Nk'Mip Desert & Heritage Centre in Osoyoos and learn more about the indigenous people that call these lands their home (admission not included).
All good things must come to an end. Today you will be returning to Kelowna. On your way and time permitting you can enjoy more stops that you may have missed coming the opposite direction.
